The ABI - as a voluntary association of banks and financial intermediaries - has no powers of intervention or control over the activities carried out by its members, does not possess information or databases on banking relations with customers and does not perform technical assistance and advisory tasks in favour of private individuals; such tasks are, by statute, dedicated to member companies.
