In this context, the’ABI is committed to strongly representing the Italian banking world at the European institutions, contributing to the definition of policies and rules that determine the evolution of the financial system, making it as consistent as possible with geopolitical scenarios.
Through constant dialogue with the European Commission, Parliament, supervisory authorities and key stakeholders, the Association promotes a banking system stable, efficient, innovative and sustainable.
The active presence of the ABI in relevant bodies such as the European Economic and Social Committee (EESC) and in interest representation associations such as the European Banking Federation (EBF) and the European Mortgage Federation (IMF) strengthens Italy's contribution in strategic decision-making fora.
With offices in Brussels e Frankfurt, the ABI supports the development of a modern and competitive European banking sector, capable of responding responsibly to the challenges of the present and building confidence for the future.
The ABI also intends to strengthen its representative role at the international level by developing closer relations with international bodies and by observing and anticipating geopolitical changes, with the aim of contributing to the emergence of new business opportunities for its members.
