The Italian Banking Association has just issued a circular letter to its members informing them that the Council of Ministers' resolution was published in the Official Gazette, extending for 12 months the mortgage instalment suspension measure envisaged by the Ordinance of the Head of Civil Protection as a consequence of the exceptional weather events that occurred in the Autonomous Region of Valle d'Aosta on 29 and 30 June 2024.
The Civil Protection Ordinance refers to the agreement signed by the Italian Banking Association, the Civil Protection and Consumer Associations to ensure timely interventions in favour of populations affected by natural disasters.
